While in Red Deer picking up the Password:JDM lights, I ended up having a coffee with the seller and his brother shooting the shit about cars and whatnot. He has a 1st and 2nd generation CRX and some pretty rare wheels for them. I was telling him about the Steel Dreamz car show and he was telling me that he saw photos of the show on a blogger's website and said he thought he remembered a CRX in among the photos.
The next day, he sent me the link to the blogger's site:

"This CRX was quite the gem of the show as well – easy to overlook if you didn’t pay attention. Decked out in Mugen goodies and a bunch of other little details like the glass roof."- LifeWithJSON blog
Sure enough, about 1/4 of the way down the page, there she was! He was very complimentary and I was/am really flattered. There were only 3 Hondas at the show and the other 2 were in really exceptional condition. The other cars there were so clean and well-built, so for him to say my little CR-X was the gem of the show really put a smile on my face... Maybe I'm overly critical of my car, but when I look at her sometimes all I see is the unfinished work and it was really quite encouraging to hear a stranger's anonymous and unsolicited positive opinion.
I found it hilarious that he called me out on the condition of the wheels. It was only late into the preparation for the show that it dawned on me that I hadn't really given the wheels a deep cleaning since 2005 but by the time the realization hit, it was too late. If Jason ever reads this, please know that I will be working on that deep clean straight away! LOL
