Tonight I finally got around to installing the timing belt sticker on my CR-X. I've seen some used engines come in from Japan with this sticker attached to the upper timing cover plastic, but according to the sheet that came with the timing belt kit this is the correct location... so who am I to argue? I forgot the date... Fortunately, I have plenty of extras I can replace it later.
Forgot to add the date on the sticker, but I've replaced it since these pics were taken |
I also placed my order for a new shift boot from Honda Canada. I got one for a spare and one to have the emblem stitched onto. I normally wouldn't have bought 2 but they're discontinued and these were the last two in the country... Sorry, my fellow Canuck EF lovers :-(

And the best news of all, the rest of my back-ordered parts arrived including a brand new hood for my EF8. I was told years ago they were discontinued, but apparently they didn't check the supercessions on the part number because when I checked the European parts catalog I found the new part number and was able to order it. With a staff discount it ran me about $350, which is less than half of what I was planning to spend on the carbon fiber hood.
