I had decided to take a break from working on my CR-X. Changing priorities had forced me to sit back and re-assess my plans for the CR-X.
It wasn't a total work-stoppage, mind you. Once in a while I would check online and sometimes I would find some deals and of course, like I always have, I submitted my list of dealer-parts to Honda each month to check what would be coming up for discontinuation etc..
I realized that after taking such a break I began to "lose my touch" when it came to parts and the scrutiny required when buying used ones. I ended up buying the wrong JDM spare tire and the incorrect size rear sway bar for my EF8. It was difficult to admit I'd been so careless, especially given the attention to detail I used to have when shopping for used parts in the past.

I Bought The Wrong Sized Spare Tire |
I decided that in order to 'cheer myself up', I would have some of the rare decals I bought duplicated. Now I know what some of you are thinking, and I've gotten into many debates on the message boards over the years over this very same issue. I'm only in support of replica decals or parts if the replica(s) are made from the original... "Close enough" is not my cup of tea. I want an exact replica or I won't use it. The only exception would be an unimportant part, for example: like the mounting bracket I need to have fabricated for my rear Mugen bumper. But for core pieces of my build, they will be original unless otherwise stated. I don't believe in rockin' Rotas then telling everyone I've got Spoon wheels or some bullshit like that. So, I contacted a friend who was able to replicate my Mugen Door decals and the Mugen decals for the front bumper and rear tail light.
I bought an NIB rear tail light at my local dealership and proceeded to pull off the CRX decal and replace it with the Mugen replica one.
