Over the past year, I've gotten some parts in for my build - nothing very noteworthy really, a couple Japanese repair manuals, a used fuel gauge sending unit from a UKDM VT to replace my sticking one, some e-brake cables, spare proportioning valve, and then this showed up at auction... A Spoon VTEC controller with a switch that has a grain texture like the EF dash. I'd been on the lookout for one of these for a while, and finally found one for a decent price. With all the assorted import fees it arrived for around $100CAD
I'd tried to do some research online but haven't been able to find out why Spoon made the two types of VTEC controller switches for the EFs. Is it a difference between EF8 and EF9? Maybe an early -vs- late production? If anyone out there stumbles upon this post and knows why there is a difference, please post a comment or drop me a line, I'd love to know why.
